It took me forever to find an acceptable password and blog address when setting the blog. I doubt I will remember my password or my own blog name after put in so many different combinations. Why can't I use whatever I want even it is low security? Now the security is so high that the ower does not even remember anymore. I wonder whether anyone else feel frustrated by too many passwords in their life.

Always! And just when you settle on a high security password that you think you'll remember the next thing you join won't accept it! I have one high and one medium password and use these two for everything.

About 10 years ago (!!!!!!) someone at ANOTHER library where I used to work did a survey on how many passwords we're trying to manage in our every day lives. That was in the days of:
1. passwords for every bibliographic database we used at work - before all the auto/global/hidden linkages we take for granted now;
2. no Internet banking, multiple email/social networking etc etc etc, that we ALSO take for granted now.
When we counted them all up, we were amazed, then!
This week's New Scientist has a par. on this too. What do you do with aCatch22 directive from the banks, to NEVER write your password down, and to make sure you construct passwords you (and your hackers) will never be able to guess, if you forget it!
Bring on the Alzheimers! :-)
